Re: 1941 radiator
They say it will fit and function as good or better than OEM but I think they overlooked the crank hole feature. If you don't have a recoreable original then that is probably the least expensive alternative that is still made in brass & copper. The 1939 deluxe thru 1941 were split core types so they can be more work to recore so likely more expensive too. The late 1941 types had the fill spout on top center but I think the early ones were just like the 40 models. The OEM style ones from Brassworks are near 3 X the price of that one but they can be made to have all the original features that the other doesn't have.

Re: 1941 radiator
I too believe I've heard that the early '41s were like '40s, only slightly taller in overall height. Pretty sure I've seen a picture with the two side by side. DD

Re: 1941 radiator
The radiator depicted in that ad does not appear to have the carriage bolt side plate to receive the fender support bracket. Might check on that.
I will be opening another thread on my '41 "mystery" radiator. |

Re: 1941 radiator
Brassworks is the gold standard for 41 OEM style radiators?

Re: 1941 radiator
I don't know about "gold standard" but no other fabricators offer one like the OEM. As far as I know, they don't stock OEM types. You order one and they build it. I don't know how much attention to detail goes into them. The originals can be recored but the split core ones would be expensive even to do that. They are literally twice as much work with twin cores like that.
1941 cars are a change over so they are unique compared to all others. This can make them expensive to get some of the parts. Many of the reproduction folks don't want to mess with a low volume special part. It really forces the owners of these cars to restore more original stuff.
