Trico fan
Does anyone use a small trico fan in their Model A's? I have considered mounting one I have above the windshield to help defrost on cold days. Just wondering if anyone has tried it and if it was worth the effort.

Re: Trico fan
I have one mounted on the steering column on two of my A’s. The model with the screen around it. It helps cool-in summer and acts as a defroster in the fall. It works great.
It sure gets a lot of attention. |

Re: Trico fan
I have one mounted on my steering column and it is the model without a screen.
Its a great conversation piece at shows, but it really does not move enough air to do anything. |

Re: Trico fan
I have a 30 Tudor with the vacuum wiper. I bought a plastic tube T connector for modern car washer fluid hose nozzles and spliced it into the wiper hose. The fan is mounted at the top of the drivers’ side of the windshield getting its vacuum from the splice. Works great on foggy humid days to keep the windshield clear. A little RainX on both sides of the windshield doesn’t seem to harm anything as well on these nasty days.
