Picture three is quite interesting after study--I am wondering how the doors would fit if the frame was twisted much at all--It appears to me that the body is still quite square--My original post was of a bare chassis--The body/floor assembly must act as a stiffener??

Photo #2 interests me as there is clearly a defroster duct attached to the LH of the dash

Take note of the air cleaner decal, it"s not oval and they were not to particular about applying it also!
34 Fordy. I believe they are trying to prove a point with the X frame
Mike, Good Eye! It even looks like they even wood grained it. NICE!!!

A very similar photo appears in the 1934 Ford Spring Brochure. It looks like they drove it over a ditch instead of putting it up on blocks. I also included another interesting photo from a different brochure. If anyone is interested in seeing unique photos of 1933 and 1934 Fords I do have them.

Are you sure that's a defroster duct? Where would the heat come from? It sort of looks like the dash is just cut away for some reason.

The car in the first photo has some age on it!

Did you get permission to copy those photos from archives of the Benson Ford Research Center? I believe that may be a "no no" especially since you posted them here.

TJ,You may be right I'll have to check that out thanks.
Just did some research on the posting of the pictures and your right about posting them. They say:
"I will not publish the photographs in print, post them on the Internet, nor exhibit them".
My Bad! I've had taken a bunch of interesting pictures to share. Guess you will have to visit the research center! It's a great place for research of Early Fords. I highly recommend it.
