To elaborate on the term footie, which can also be spelt footy. Soccer (which is really for sissies ) is called by players of Ruby Union, Rugby League or Aussie Rules (which has been derived from Gaelic Football) “kick and giggle”. In response sissie soccer players call the three codes of real football “catch and tickle”.
