Default 36 Ford engine update

I thought I'd give a little update on my 36.

After the burned valve change on the #2 cyclinder the compression is up.

Had to cut the burnt valve out.

Thank you David j for the donor valve!!!!

Flushed the block and put it together.

It ran, but I was still having problems with it running under load.

Fast forward today. I sent my dizzy off to skip for a tune and coil rebuild, added some different plug wires, changed out the strom97 that had a crack for a good running holley94 and it's running well.

Vacuum gauge read a little low at 15lbs but after upping the advance a couple tics I'm at a strong 18lbs. Oil pressure went up by 10 also with the extra vacuum.

Although I'm running a 94 now I will be changing it over to the strom97 with the original air cleaner. Both will need work.

Some video of it running.

Thank you barners. Hope the pictures show up that i posted.

Thanks Brendan. I'm quite happy with it.

I took it out yesterday and ran it fairly hard and I think it did it some good. Couple more "responsible" hard runs and then I'll change the oil again and run the compression and vacuum tests again.

One day at a time!
