Peep mirrors

I bought a clip on peep mirror from the standard vendors. It is the straight shank, and I mounted it just above the hinge. Worthless. It is angled out so far that you can't adjust it in enough to see anything. Are they all like this? Is the bent arm one better?


I didn't feel like going through the expense or effort for a hinge pin one, but I'm not sure what else to do. It's tough driving without mirrors....
