Any do it yourself painters out there ? would like to use base coat , clear coat , and use original colars . if i could get a source for the codes i could have a local paint supplier mix it. Washington Blue would be the body color. Any help would be nice thanks The Hooch

Its my understanding the enamel was used on fenders, splash pans, etc and lacquer was used on the body panels.. But, thats not really the point..

Who says?? I believe you will find quite a few areas that alkyd enamel was used. Matter of fact, enamel was used WAY more than BC/CC was used!!

Model A standards answers all your questions about which paint was used and where, I'm just looking for the mix codes soas i can apply the proper color with todays paint someone offered a site, but the 31 roadster delux wasn't included in there info. So still asking the question Does any one know how to obtain the propper codes for 31 delux roadsters???

Call the Dupont Tech Line 1-800-338-7668. they will fax you any of the Model A paint codes. Not sure how close their code will be for your color, but you could get the code for a pint and try and match it to the Model A Paint Guide Chips.
