I've never used cruise-control in any car and rarely use air-conditioning.
I could easily do without electronic ignition (and any electronics in my vehicles) as well as automatic choke, power seats, power windows, power brakes, power antenna, seat heating elements and many of these elite options in many cars and trucks nowadays.
All I need in my truck is an engine that has enough power to do what I need and an 8-foot bed for hauling. My final truck is a 2007 F150 w/4.2L V6 white work package. And those have junk in them I've never used. That was their stripped down business model.
As far as the company promoting one gender or the other, I don't think it is done right unless they are promoting BOTH EQUALLY. All Private companies need to stop politicizing all things that are not political.

I have a 2006 F150 with the V6, white with a 6 1/2 foot bed and a 5 speed manual transmission. A great truck. I wish it had an 8' bed, cruise control and electric mirror and windows because it's hard to reach the mirror and window on the other side. A lot of cranks to get the windows up and down. Great for what I use it for, although I'd like some more towing capacity.

You should have requested a "white work package" truck. They are the cheapest of the F150's, all white (for business signage by customer) and come standard with 8' bed, cruise control and a bunch of other stuff I have never used. They also come with a tow ball in middle of rear bumper, but I don't know towing capacity.
If the dealer doesn't have a "white work truck" on the lot, they'll phone other dealerships even hundreds of miles away and have a runner bring one in from there at no extra charge just to sell it.
Yes, the window cranks on these will wear your arm out. Ridiculous!

On my 08 basic I wore out the window crank. It is all wobbly now. Lol. Some day get around to replacing it.
