I don't have experience witn electric trailer brakes. My guess is that it probably would work ok. I don't see that it would be a constant draw. My guess is , it would only draw current when the brake was applied and you wouldn't be riding the brakes for any period of time. You may show a momentary discharge when the brakes were applied but it would take a good while before the charge in the battery would drop enough to cause any problem .
