'36 Part Question
A fried of mine from Australia sent me a link to a set of parts for sale on Bob Drake's site and asked if he needed them. He's in the parts acquisition mode for a future restoration of his '36, while I'm actively restoring mine and we exchange information from time to time.
In any event, I have never seen these parts, identified as "Hood Bumper & Bracket, Rear" (p/n 68-16759-K, according to Drake's site), nor do I see where they might be attached to the cowl. I have the (4) rubber buttons on the side of the cowl and the windlace on the top. There are also rubber bmpers attached to the inner lip of the front fenders, for the louvered hood side to rest against, but there's no braket for them. The picture from Drake's site is copied below - can someone tell me where these bumpers are used and how they attach or even better, a picture of them mounted? Thanks for any info you can provid. -Bob |
