Default Rear Axle shaft made in Argentina?

Been searching for one rear axle shaft for my 34 pickup but not having any luck. I do have a new “aftermarket” one from my dads parts but it appears to be made in Argentina according to the stampings on it that state “industria Argentina” and “267875”. It is the right length and has the correct number of teeth but it will not slide or seat completely into the ring gear or spider gear housing. It is about .010” too big. Also the key way is about 1/2” longer than my original axle.

Can I use this axle if I get a machine shop to machine down the axle “collar” to fit the ring gear or spider gear opening?
