Default 32 hand throttle rod??

Tried a search, to no avail.........
Can't find it in the 32 bible........

What is the length of the hand throttle rod that connects the tunnel bellcrank to the spoon arm?

AND. is the rod length from firewall side arm to carb arm the 10.60" one?

Thanks much!!!

For the V-8, the rod between the the accelerator cross shaft ball on the tip of the arm to the carburetor linkage was 10.72" and 9 7/8" for the four. I'm away from my car stuff at present so I can't measure the rod between the pedal and the bell crank, but you can determine that readily with the above dimension(s) in hand.

I may have one of these and just curious how you guys are taking the measurements? With the rod installed and the cap ends extended or with the rod disconnected and the cap ends retracted? Guessing it would make almost 1/2" difference.

The dimension that I cited is from the original engineering drawing and is the length of the rod itself; in other words, less the spring-loaded caps.

Its '32 only.On a '32 the throttle rod does not go from the dash thru the firewall to the carb.It is connected by a bell crank(in the dash tunnel) via a link to the foot pedal. Its the correct length of that link that he needs.

A length of 8 7/8" seems to work ok. Don't know if this length is available but a longer rod can be shortened and welded. With some careful filing no one will know.
