Fuel?
leave the car sitting a couple of days and I notice the gas in the clear gas filter is discolored to a yellow, or a tint of orange, out of curiosity I would drain it, and then open the petcock and release more fuel from the tank which is clear. This is the fifth time I did this procedure, what causes it to discolor?

Re: Fuel?
That's an interesting lash up ya got there. Try a shot glass of marvel mystery oil with each fill up,its solvent factor might help in stopping the deposit in your filter glass.

Re: Fuel?
The glass sediment bowl in my '28 roadster does the same thing after just a few weeks after draining it. The longer I leave it the darker yellow it gets. When I drain it the fuel feels oily and is void of gasoline smell. I use corn gas with the suggested amount of Stabil added.

'29,
I've had 3 Rat Terriers, I "think" they're the GREATEST/MOST INTELLIGENT of ALL small dogs. Search "Rat Terrier History"--you'll be AMAZED! Dogs' Dad
