for some reason,three extra dots appeared between the c and r and I couldn't edit them out.

I don't think they should be "edited out". I think they are the "system" showing that it has shortened the address up, but in actuality, it is all there. Your editing may be what is causing the problem. I have noticed that this happens (the "dots"), and I just let it go and I have never had a problem. Try leaving it alone and see what you get.
