V8 oil pump
It has been a few years now since I bought a V8 oil pump modified for a Model A from someone on this forum but I can't remember who it was. I certainly don't know if he is still doing it. Those pumps are super rare over here so doing one myself aint gonna happen.
Is anybody please able to connect me with a supplier of such a pump?

Re: V8 oil pump
I am not sure of who in the past besides Cliffy Williamson was making pumps. At least here in Cali.
I make some when I build street motors, late model V8 pump and an adaptor to fit in stock location.

Re: V8 oil pump
Would you be willing to share how you modified the late v8 pump?

Re: V8 oil pump
The basic V8 pump rotates reverse of the Model "A", that introduces some issues in the porting and relief internally. I see articles written about drilling and plugging the original castings. I am too lazy for that, besides, the internal pressure relief is very efficient, it recycles the oil back into the inlet port of the pump.
So, a very good friend, who happens to write a book about Model "A-B" engines and I were talking about pumps and the simplest solution is to invert the pump, it corrects the rotation issue. This now requires an adaptor to connect the pump to the block. From here it is all basic machine work, I machine from solid alum stock. John
