Default Followup To Engine Removal Preference

About a month ago, I asked the question, Do you prefer to install the engine with or without the transmission attached, and why? The responses were split almost even, but a slight edge went to removal by taking out the rear axle.

My preference was to take the engine, flywheel, clutch & transmission in one piece out from the front. It's a done deed, and it went very well.
Preparations included:
>Jacks (2) to support front wheels about 6" off the floor;
>Front bumper, headlight bar & radiator off of the car;
>Hood off;
>Front floor boards out;
>Stock rear engine mounts in place & radius rod joint disconnected;
>Clutch & brake pedals off;
>Accelerator assembly off:
>Transmission in neutral & gear shift off;
>Chock in front of a rear wheel;
>Manifolds off & exhaust tied up;
>U-joint housing off & torque tube supported with a jack stand.

Used an engine hoist with a single hook in #3 spark plug hole & 3 people. One fellow worked the hoist, one guided the crankshaft pulley over the front crossmember, and the 3rd guy guided the transmission past the firewall. The workers are 70, 79 & 80 years of age.
