Default Re: Waste of a day.....

Just a couple of thoughts.
When I bought a reverse eye front spring from Posies they made it a point to tell me it would drop the ride height in relation to the stock height. When I asked for clarification they said over the years springs become weaker and the ride height settles. So their spring might not lower the vehicle the advertised amount from where it was now.

I lowered the rear of my truck by removing leaves until I achieved the ride height I wanted. Sounds like you did the same thing.

Finally the moonshiners around here used a garage door spring mounted transversely under the rear leaf spring as an overload device so when they were loaded the ride height was maintained.
