Inlet manifold interchange ?
Is the later 8ba type inlet manifold a straight swap onto the earlier motors without any mods?
If any mods are required ,what is involved.? Many thanks. |

Re: Inlet manifold interchange ?
Yes the intake will bolt onto the block. However the fuel pump boss is at a different height and the generator mount might need some thought. But I've used the Merc intake on the 59A block.with an electric fuel pump and a home made alt adapter.

Re: Inlet manifold interchange ?
Thanks Ron, the car already has an electric fuel pump, so no worries there....does the manifold need any mods regards crankcase ventilation....someone mentioned that you might need to fit a PVC valve set up.... Is that right or not?

Re: Inlet manifold interchange ?
The PCV system is very easy to set up or you can just block the front breather hole and the 8BA oil filler hole and make a stand pipe on the back with a breather oil filler cap. Walt
