Default Jump wire.

I saw somewhere that if i use a distributor i can use a jump wire from mag to bat post on ignition panel, so i can have the ignition switch in either mag or bat, correct?
Can i use a T-5038, amp to switch wire, or does it have to be a thicker one?

BEWARE! Not 100% sure but I believe you do not want to send batt. power into the mag. Could de-magnetize it. Just don't do it until you hear from others.

If you connect the battery to the mag the mag will be discharged rendering it useless. If you want to use the mag on either side, you must disconnect the battery first from the switch. What are you trying to accomplish? It might be easier than you think.

The wire that connects to the coil box, lower drivers side is a switched wire. I runs from the switch on the dash and is powered by ether the battery or mag depending on which way the switch is turned to supply power to the coil box. While you should be able to run your car with a standard coil from the battery, using the magneto would be a bit more tricky as it will need a resister in it's circuit. If you are using one of the T coils then the distributor gets set differently then with regular coil.

I didn't tell You the hole truth. I have a Texas T parts distributor and the magneto parts are removed.

Then the answer to your question would be Yes.
