Tail Light Situatiom
Just installed an new tail light. All OK, then a day later the brake light stopped working. Checked the switch, looked good, wires on OK, shorted across - still NG. What a dummy I checked voltage there and finally came too, had power. I then checked the light socket - got power. THE NEW BULB WAS BLOWN OUT !

That's why I always start with the bulb, then see if there is juice.

Re: Tail Light Situatiom
I once spent 35$ for a desk lamp bulb that worked like a flashbulb when I turned the lamp on. They sent me a new bulb....you probably won't be that lucky.

Bulbs do blow, can at any time.
To do so so quickly, wondering what voltage the system and the bulb are. |
