well....when you go out in the morning and start a vehicle....and you see heavy blue smoke coming out the exhaust...and it doesn't stop....and it wasn't doing it the day before.....and all you can see is $$$$$. Pour some in the gas and some in the oil....drive around the block and its fixed....you would praise the stuff every chance you get also.
I've bought used cars that smoked and burned a lot of oil that people gave up on trying to repair....spent $8 on a quart of MMO and all problems were solved.
And I have about 5 more stories if you want to hear them....

It always helped keep the valves from sticking in my old(pre-1958) Model L Gravelys...

I add 2-4 ozs MMO to each tankful in my carbureted vehicles.

I have also used it to free-up stuck engines.

txturbo, I guess you don't understand the smiley face remark.

Actually, I'm not a MMO user. I use Sea-foam.

I've not used Sea Foam but a highly respected mechanic that I know told me to pour some MMO in my 31 Buick to cure a sticky valve. I used it and it worked so now my Model A gets some and my 66 Lemans will be getting some.

Guess not....I've used seafoam....didn't make any difference on anything I used it on and I've never heard of anyone unsticking piston rings or valves using it. MMO has saved and made me money.

Does anyone have an issue with 4 oz per 10 Gal. of MMO added also with a proper amount of Sta-Bil. I believe 1oz per 5gal?

No need to unless you have stuck rings or sticking valves.

In the mid 80's I bought a 1983 Olds Cutlass cheap because it sounded like a rod going out. I checked the rod bearings and they were good, but I installed new ones as long as I had them out. I then check the rocker arms and replaced a few of the broken plastic buttons, and decided it was a stuck lifter making the racket. I drove to the auto parts store and put in a can of Sea Foam, and before I drove the 5 miles home that engine was perfectly quiet. It would have been an easy profit on the sale of that car, but selling it to a cousin was the wrong thing to do. She only paid for half the car.

Sea Foam is also good for the gas to set over winter.

That's my preference (Sta-bil BLUE, that is.)

Well, I guess that's good too, if you can get it and are willing to pay the price...

Must be something good about MMO, or they would not still be making it after 90 years...

From wasting money on an engine tear down and/or rebuild.
Just had lunch with a buddy that just bought an 81 El Camino that has been in storage for 2 years. It has 2 valves sticking and he was telling me he was going to pull the heads today.I told him to try the MMO trick. Will see what happens later today.

If that doesn't work then try a can of Sea Foam in the gas and another can in the oil. That 10% ethanol crap gas is famous for making valves stick on cars that set for more than a few months.

If it sat two years drain and put fresh ethanol in the tank. remove the line from carb and get that crap out of the lines run it on spray till it comes out clean. i do that all the time to avoid pumping junk into the carb and engine...but it sounds like your friend already ran it...Then do your additives
