A first time T owner!

Hey you all, after collecting, tinkering and driving antique and classic cars for 40 years, I finally bought my first T! Shes a 1926 5 window coupe that has my heart pumping faster than most cars have ever done, even at 30 miles per hour. WHAT A BLAST! Now I understand what all the fuss has been about with you T ers. I just had to tell somebody that would care, and found this message board. I purchased a 1925 T roadster three weeks ago. The last time I rode in it was 1947.The T hadn't run since 1949.I call him Pike.He was set up for the Pike's Peak Hill Climb in Colorado during late 20,s or early 30's, I'm not sure. It has a Frontenac head,Winfield cam and carb.The T trans has been locked out and a chevy trans was installed behind it. It has a Ruckstell rearend-does that give me six forward speeds and two in reverse? It also has Buffalo wheels and a Custom panel with a brass altimeter. I just found your web site yesterday through a frend who is helping me to get Pike running again. I'd like to hear from anyone who has info on the Pike's Peak's runs that this car participated in.
