Bets pain in the a$$ part of the car! Pull the vent screen and the two little sheet metal shields, then pull the left fresh air vent under the dash. Both will give you great access to the pulleys and cables.

The cable ends on the large drum are arranged with the drivers cables in the front two grooves and the passenger cables in the rear two groves. They are in there correctly when they do not cross each other. ie, the drivers side upper cable as seen from the cowl vent side goes in the second groove from the front, the lower cable goes in the front groove. Use masking tape to hold the front in place while you do the second groove, tape it down, then pull the pin on the pulley block and start on the passenger side with the same process.

Been there and done that. He is right, what a pain! If there is anything amiss, or any slack, the wiper will "skip" across the windshield (or jerk along)

Yes, what a pain. I used a cotter pin up in the top of the cowl to hold the tension off the pulley on each side, and then pulled the little rubber plug and used need-nose to pull it our\t and put pre-load ont e cables. After all done, put toweles over your carpety and hose it all down with SILICONE SPRAY, before putting covers and rubber plugs back on.

Mine too ! I got caught in the rain just once . That is when I went with an electric wiper kit .
After I installed it , I never got caught in the rain again , and never needed them ! Good to have them , however .

I thought abt it, but since my car is a convertible...but your right, you can still get caught. Rainex helps. Plus, I'm not so sure that vacuum fuel pump has the check valve in it for the vacuum assist.
