Ford pickup wheels up to 66, and some merc wheels. I have some 15" merc wheels, but a long ways from NY

Several years ago I had Wheel Vintique make 5 new rims for my '40 coupe......15"x7". They had NOS Ford centers available, and made up new rims for tubeless radial tires. Price was very reasonable. They may be still doing this.....

Wheel Smith in Corona, CA. Wheel Vintique doesn't have very good reviews as of late. Wheel Smith on the other hand is top notch. IMO

Make sure your Ford hubcaps fit. Some centers use their hub caps. Newc

Just got some 15s for the truck a couple of years back from Wheel Smith.
Excellent quality. Picked them up from their facility in Corona. I wouldn’t
exactly call them economical but you’re definitely getting the quality you’re
paying for…..

Charlie ....One thing that you ask for - the INSIDE nubbies for the '40-'48 hub caps. For YOUR information, Ford pick-up wheels thru 1966 have those INSIDE nubbies. It has been found by many that SOME aftermarket wheels with the INSIDE nubs are not stamped as precisely as REAL Ford wheels were, and will spit Ford hubcaps in the ditch on occasion.

I don't know of any 15" Ford wheel that is 4"-wide with inside nubs and a 5 X 5-1/2" bolt circle, BUT ....'53-'56 Ford pick-ups had 15", 5 X 5-1/2" bolt circle, INSIDE nubbies, and were available in 5"-wide, as well as 5-1/2"-wide BETWEEN the beads, and centered offset. These wheels are still readily found at swap meets and other common venues. Most that I've ever found clean-up well with bead blasting and paint. We recently cleaned-up and painted some 5" 15-inchers to put radials on my very stock, very original '37 Coupe, seen below. They are usually very straight as found, if you pay attention to the condition of stud holes when buying. I've always smeared just a dab of "J-B Weld" on each of the twelve rivets holding the centers. We run them tubeless without a hitch, and the hub caps stay planted!

X2 on Wheelsmith. You can actually talk with somebody that can guide you on offsets, etc. They will also powdercoat them at a very reasonable price. I also used Wheel Vintiques at one time but their phone help is almost non existent. They are owned by Coker Tire.
