Default Another Scammer

Twice now, I have placed wanted ads on this site and twice have received texts from the same person informing they had the item for sale. Both times I said to email me or contact me through the Ford Barn. The text number is 320-349-2168. After googleing this number, I discovered others have been scammed from this person. BEWARE...

Just don't trust people who leave phone numbers or email addresses to contact. I would at least make sure that he is a legit member of the barn ...

There were a few good ideas a long time ago. Might search..
One I remember and follow is always require a PM; no direct email or phone.
Scammers seldom have enough history to respond. Or, it will show number of posts; if less than 10, forget them.

I have been contacted several times by US members of this forum when they are dealing with someone in Australia to ask whether I know them. Australia is the size of your lower 48 so the chances are slim that I do, yet 3 times I have been able to help. All 3 times, the deal was done successfully.
Barn members are a good source of information about our Model As and a good resource when checking the bona fides of someone.

I'm in escrow for the bridge and plan to move it for access to the swamp land I'm also buying in Florida.

Ive been screwed after I made a poor buying decision online. Luckily it was only $50. I get leary of people that ask for you adress to come buy stuff but never show up or respond again. I wonder if they are able to use that info to for identity theft or something.

They can at least use the address to case your place. Having been the recent victim of a stolen 55 Chevy, these cocksuckers are getting brave. I know personally, several people who have lost property to thieves in the last 6 months or so. Most coming into your yard and taking stuff in the night. Golf carts, 4 wheelers, ATVs, cars, truck etc. Be careful, you cant trust anybody anymore.

....and catalytic converters too. My F250 got 'hacked' a few days ago. I feel so violated...right in the front yard of my house...and I live out in the country where it is (or was) peaceful and quiet. Guess I should be thankful they didn't bust up my antiques in the yard and garage!

Had a near miss a few years ago, in the middle of the afternoon, so I had an alarm system put in, peace of mind for $30 month monitoring.
