Default Schrader style valve stems for ‘34 need guidance

I like the look of the metal valve stem set up, and want to do that on my 34 coupe, but having a hard time finding all the right pieces and parts etc., I went to Coker but their website search engine is horrible, so any advice or guidance would be appreciated

If '34 is anything like '31 Model A, you would need tubes with threaded metal stems, short dust cover's and valve stem cap's. Dave can give you the correct items you will need for '34 and where you can purchase them. A&L had the best quality items for Model A's, but I understand that they only sell wholesale now. At one time the tubes were $50 but I'm sure they must have had a price increase since then.

Snyder's in New Springfield, Ohio carry all of the A&L reproduction Schrader TR83A metal valve stem components, including the whole stem as original. You cut off the 'modern' (post 1934) rubber stems and insert the metal ones in the resulting hole in the the inner tube. Or you can buy the inner tubes with the metal stems already installed from Coker or Lucas or Universal and the remaining components from Snyder's. (I understand that tubes with metal stems installed are on back order at Coker and likely the others as well given that they are owned by Coker.)

I have the tubes with metal stems, but now need (4) of the “short” dust caps, but no vendors have them in stock, if anyone knows where to get some used or new, please let me know. Cell 831-238-8235

Here's a decent type for TUBELESS tires. $8.99 for a 4-pack at Amazon.

If you mean the nut up against the rim of the wheel rather than the cap at the top end of the valve stem, send me a p.m.

Try a PM to Gary Carr on the A forum.
He might have something.

Have you tried Coker Tire? They have an assortment of different types.

Unlike a month ago, Coker's online catalog shows the correct style for '30-'34 in stock. Snyder's still have it listed as out of stock.

Ha! After reading through 6 posts I forgot what the original post said. Sort of like "now what did I walk into this room to get? Hmm..."

Anyway, on the Coker web site, they are in the Accessories pages. I guess its all in the search technique.
