Wanted: '40 Convertible top part (not sure what it's called)

Hello all, I'm looking for the following pictured part (driver's side) -- not sure what this is called, but it's near the top of the window where the curve is. This is for a 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible Coupe.

Pic 1 is the good one on the passenger side, pic 2 is the damaged one on the driver's side -- shown in the open position (ie. top down) -- any help would be appreciated! I've already checked out Wescott, Drake, Dennis Carpenter, doesn't seem anyone makes these parts.

I made a similar one for a 39. There is a guy that builds the entire frame (chrome, high end). He was willing to sell the piece you describe but the price was too high. I ended up building one from aluminum. It is ultimately painted and covered by the stainless channel, so it isn't cosmetic
