Default WD40 rust release

Has anyone tried this stuff? If so, how good is it? I just had 2 small cans given to me to try out.

If WD40 or duct tape can't fix it, it can't be fixed.....LOL

It’s available. I’ve found that every time a WD product comes out…..someone else makes a superior product. Just imho

I was on one forum that everyone bashed wd40, I have been using the stuff for years and have never had a problem. I do use pb blaster for difficult rusty situations, will give this a try.

WD is useless as a rust penetrant. I have found that the penetrant made by Schaffer is excellent.

New formula?
They should have named it WD-41 . . . not to confuse it with WD-40.

Send me a sample and I'll let you know how it works.

I like Kroil but they’ve raised the price to where I use it very sparingly…..if at all.
Used to could get spray can for about $5-6…now $15
Ooops make that $20!!

I once had a mechanic who serviced the fleet vehicles I drove who bought WD 40 in 55 gallon drums. He claimed it as a cure for almost everything. Wouldn't surprise me if he drank it. Sure, it will dissolve rust....probably?

An old friend used WD40 on his hands. He claimed it helped relieve arthritis pain.

WD4O works in a damp distributor to help dry it out but it takes a while. I can do it faster with compressed air.

Some helicopter operators use it on the tuna boats to keep corrosion off the blades. Others use Tri-Flow. The WD40 is less $ but the Tri-Flow is better. They use it daily and a 55 gallon drum goes away pretty quick the way they spay it on. Wash the blades with fresh water then WD all while it's running at ground idle. A person has to wear a slicker to keep from being soaked. They use a Hudson sprayer. Spray cans would take too long.

This my go to. It can't be beat, in fact their whole range is excellent.

I was installing an engine recently with my brother in law and the frame spreader I had made proved to be inadequate. The thread started to bind and was close to seizing. One "squit" of this and it was easy to turn again. Miraculous!
No, I don't have an interest in the company.
