Crank end play
I have 023" end play in the crank as measured between the end of the block and the crank flange. What is this going to do to the operation of the magneto?
I was undecided about putting in a new magneto or running off battery. Thanks in advance for comments. It is a 1923 coupe. |

Re: Crank end play
Consider taking the cap to a rebabbitting shop and have them build up the thrust surface and remachine it to give you .003-.004" endplay. You don't need a replacement cap, just build up the thrust. Your mag will not run very well with that much end play.
