On the topic, check out the late A.K. Miller and his collection of Stutz cars here in Vermont. He's somewhat of a small town legend.

I've met a very p.o,'d person that dealt with the Millers.People had helped out with food, clothes, heating oil, propane, and cars to drive because they were supposed to be destitute. He is a former pastor of an area church,he feels very embarrassed.

I had heard about this guy, but I didn't know he had any connection with Montclair, NJ. My father in law was born in Montclair. He inherited his father's moving business in 1951 and ran it till about 1970, when he retired. Montclair had a lot of exceptional people. He had Col. Lewis, who invented the Lewis machine gun for a scoutmaster. He was sort of a buddy of Huntington Hartford of the A & P grocery chain. Too bad he never made anywhere near their money. He had probably met Miller at some time.

At the A.K.Miller auction people I'd know all my life in the car hobby showed up to look at and bid on the cars and parts. NOBODY had a kind word for A.K. Miller. Bob
