Default Paper work

Hello I have a 52 flathead in a 1929 model a ford.I am to the point of instaling the body. The flathead came out of a 52 ford convertable. it fired up and ran without a miss, and does not smoke. Also the (ford/merk O matic) works also. I changed the oil and went to a ZDDP a just to be on the safe side.I have recepts. for the engine, frame, front axel, ect, ect. The numbers were rusted off of the frame. How do I go about getting A title here in Texas? Thanks Lyle

I'm not sure this is the best way to go for you, but it's an option. Many people sell old titles, so you could post a "wanted to buy", a '29 Title (preferably from TX).
Like I say, just an option.

If you find one for sale, Make sure the title can be transfered into your name with
NO problems, so you don't have to use it for "wall art".

TXDot will issue a new VIN with all your documentation, however, it will mean several trips with your vehicle to a state inspection station and a run around the block several times.

One of my club members who lives in Kaufman County had to take his car to Athens at least twice with his car and documentation to make it happen.

The title recommendation is the best idea if you can find one. A Texas title would be even better because inspection would not be required.

If you will PM me I will be happy to give you my friends number,

I would go the legal route. Otherwise I would always worry someone would show up and try to claim my car.
