Roll out knob
Window roll out knob on my 39 ford deluxe will not come off. I think there are splines inside.....Any help out there! Eddie

most likely— push back escutcheon look for pin , push out pin

There are splines. There is also a small set screw.
The splines tend to corrode and "adhere" to the shaft making the removal of the knob difficult. I'd suggest being very careful as the window mechanism is a rare piece, one you certainly do not want to damage.

1938 has a horseshoe type clip on it, maybe 39 also

Remove the set screw and add some penetrating oil to the hole.
