1936 driveshaft bearing clearance
I have a 1936 pickup rebuilt the trans am ready to install it. The front driveshaft bearing has noticable movement up and down. Does anyone know the runout for this bearing? Thanks

Re: 1936 driveshaft bearing clearance
Be careful using new repro sleeves. Some have reported they are mostly junk. Too soft, wrong size, etc. I have a difficult time finding appreciable wear on the originals I remove from used torque tubes. Could be a problem with the roller bearing or possibly wear on the shaft behind the spline. Unfortunately, you may have to take things apart to find the real problem.
