Home again
Hi Guys and Gals, well I'm back in 40 degree weather and I almost miss the 80 degrees of Florida. The trip was a culinary delight, Richard can not only build a great running Flathead, but he can cook. The visit to Cam Techniques to meet my old friend David Generous was one of the high points. The biggest disapointment was not getting to JWL's. This would have been a physical disaster for both of us. After the trip down to Sarasota, it was obvious we couldn't make it up to Ga. in the allotted time. I also misses a ride in a PT-26 Richard set up for me. Getting old sucks.
One of the High points was driving Dazy May. This is a completly restored 53 Ford Hart top, 276/T-5 powered car. I drove it around the local airport and didn't hit a thing, this alone was worth the trip. Although I missed the ride in the PT-26 I did get a chance to ride in a 2-6-0 Mogle steam engine.. Now I have to get back to work in the Int. |

Re: Home again
Sounds like a good trip, Ron. Still making memories; that's what counts.

Re: Home again
Having Ol' Ron as my guest for about ten days was one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling experiences imaginable. The man is a walking talking encyclopedia of flatheads, cars, trains... you name it.
Before trying to share my experience in words, I'm attaching some pictures guaranteed to bring some smiles. |

Re: Home again
It looks like Ron had a fun trip. He's a happy man behind the wheel of Daisy May.

Re: Home again
Looks like you & Ron had a great time. If I still lived in Florida I would have drove over to meet you.
