Default KRW engine stand adaptor

A friend of mine has this KRW engine stand adaptor but we don't know what it is used for. No markings on it except KR Wilson.
Does anyone know what it's used for?

Default Re: KRW engine stand adaptor

To be used with the KRW Engine Stand (there are MANY evolutions of this) as a way to hold and grab the engine from the side or possibly the end.

This one not necessarily for the Model A engine. I'm more familiar with the one that "bolts into" the water inlet side of the motor (and has two pins to catch the oil pan bolt holes.)

If you search around online you can find similar to yours.

If KRW evolved the engine stand, they also evolved (and maybe more so) the "attachments" to hold various engines/positions.

One similar seen...

I posted my question in the other Fordbarn forums also, and I got the answer in the Early V8 forum. The adaptor is used for the Ford Y-block engine (1954-64), and it is listed in KRW catalog #59 from 1959.

Thanks for your input!
