Default Re: 1942 Ford deluxe coupe project

Took my first test drive today! Fuel coming out of the vent tube was caused by a pot metal shaving under the needle. My guess is I damaged a thread in all the times I was switching fuel pumps chasing a ghost. We were struggling getting ferrules fitted properly too so that may have been a factor. Runs very strong and Charlie ny rebuilt transmission shifts great. Speedometer works and I took it up to 45 MPH. Plenty more work left to do but for the first time since Gerald Ford was president the car is moving under its own power.
