Default 12 volt Optima red top group 25 in a 36 coupe

Has anyone used the group 25 Optima red top 12 volt battery in a 36 coupe? I've seen several threads saying an optima will fit in the stock artery box below the floor. I'm converting to 12 volts and am hoping that this will work.

The only optima battery that will maybe fit inside an original 6 volt hard rubber battery case is the 6 volt optima which is half the size of a 12 volt optima. So why do you need to change to a 12 volt system ? The original 6 volt system is all good as long as all components are in good condition. Are you having some sort of problem with your electrics . Regards, Kevin.
