1937 ford chassis-vs 1940
will a 40 coupe body fit on a 37 chassis wo any mods?

You will have to fit the 40 brake pedals, the hole is different. The radiator mounting brackets will need changed to the 40 style.
If it's a 37 v860 chassis a couple other things need changed. In general, it will fit |

Front cross member and the centre box section will need to be changed out as well.

Your DMV may want to register your car as a 1937 based on the serial number when you change the frame. Whatever you do be sure to keep them happy.

Your DMV may want to register your car as a 1937 based on the serial number when you change the frame. Whatever you do be sure to keep them happy.
no problem in NJ- all good. we have no inspection on antiques. |
