Default electrylitic derusting again.

I have used this method several times but recently read that a low voltage, say 6 volts or less works just as good as a higher voltage. I have a setup where I have 2 12 volt batteries in series so the system works off of 24 volts. Am I wasting my time with the extra voltage, or, what is the experience of others? Jack

Don't need all that, I use a 6 volt battery charger and it works at 2 amps. When the amps drop clean the plates or whatever you use (I use old lawnmower blades) and you are back in business. Electrolysis is pretty much "line of sight" so you may have to rotate your part in the tank.

Vince Falter has some good details on E rust removal.
I took his advice and bought the carbon electrode and that is a great suggestion.

X2, except I used rebar. Next time I'll try Vince's way by using carbon.
