Default Re: towncar

There is a full page on Special Bodies in my "old" The Ford Model A as Henry Built lt book that deals with the 1929 Town Car.

It states that sales where very slow and Ford stopped selling them by December 1930.

But the Briggs Manufacturing Company continued to make its own Town Cars on Model "A" chassis but these were not sold through the Ford home office and there is no record on them.

It also states that the exterior and interior trim data in the book only applies to the for Ford built town car.

So could it be that the one discussed here is a later Briggs built one?
