Default JB WELD safe inside oil pan?

Just discovered hairline crack in oil pan allowing oil to seep out. Would it be safe to use JB WELD on inside of pan for repair?

I'm sure it will work, as I've used it to hold magnets in the pan. But, if you have the pan off, it would be better to just weld/braze up the crack.

If it is a crack you will need to drill small holes at either end to stop it from spreading before jb weld or brazing. I think welding a little beyond the crack on either end will stop it. If you have everything cleaned up nice a welding shop should be able to do itf or not too much money.
