Default Loose fuel pump eccentric

Did a search and I couldnt find any answers, so Ill have to ask here on the board.

I changed the timing chain on my 59 292. I installed the gear, fuel pump eccentric, spacer, washer and cam gear screw. And the fuel pump eccentric is still loose. There is a .045 gap with screw bottomed out on the cam. What am I not seeing? Are there different cam gears from early to late style yblocks? There wasnt a counterweight installed on old timing set.....Thx

Hopefully that rear thrust washer is stuck on the backside of my timing gear. The 59 Ford Shop Manual doesnt show a nice assembly pic like the one you showed....

Check your camshaft end play when assembled correctly to be on safe side for thrust plate lubrication.
