I have a 47 Flathead that I am rebuilding. The tang on the distributor shaft that goes into camshaft is grooved and should be replaced. I am having a hard time finding a distributor shaft for a bail style distributor. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you

I may be showing my ignorance on these early Ford crab style distributors, but wouldn't the shafts basically be the same from '42 to '48?
I see these distributors, and pieces and parts for them, at just about every swap meet I attend.
Just picked up two of these housings that had bails for the rabbit ear caps, shafts, centrifugal advance weights, points plate and points, but all else was missing. These were just mixed in with a tub full of other parts I bought. If Bubbas doesn't have somrthing for you, I can send you one of these that I just picked up for the cost of shipping to you.

The distributor shaft is identical to the crab. The shaft is 21A-12175.
