Running Warm
Since a complete restoration, including engine and transmission rebuild and a brand new rad, my 1927 Tudor has always ran on the cool side, just a barely visible indication on the motometer. It's only had about 5 hours of operation per year for three years since the restoration....
I added the required amount of Stabil to the gas last week, and because the weather was nice today, took it for a 10 minute drive. When I returned, I notice that the tempurate indication on the meter was much higher than usual, just at the bottom of the summer range circle on the gauge. Could the addition of Stabil cause it to run warmer? Thanks, Chris |

Re: Running Warm
No. Possibly your fan belt is loose.

Agree. Especially with a fresh car that has been sitting. Tighten that belt just a mite and your problem may be solved. And don't forget what what you need to do with the spark lever when you are driving around.
