1928 Ford Model A Truck Door Windows

I purchased a 1928 Ford Model A Truck Rat Rod and I need a illustrated diagram of installing the door windows and channels. Plus any on the cab & bed.

This is would be the passenger side. But, it is a right hand driver.
After looking at many videos that were not 1928. It seems I need remove the existing channel. Then put the glass in then push the channel down the side.
I’m guessing the angle the glass and it should slide in without the channel?

The stock glass green tint is 25.25”w X 19.75” t

That looks like an early '28 that used Model T doors.

The door glass runs should have retainer clips riveted to the top and bottom. These retainer clips are all the holds the runs in place (no glue can be used). The runs should be free enough so that they can be lifted up to free the upper clip and then lowered to free the lower clip.


The door glass runs need to be lifted up to unhooked at the top and tilted inward. This allows the door glass to be inserted into the runs and slid down most of the way or all the way. The runs are then raised up enough to be re-hooked at the top.

This is true - and - it used Model T hinges.

Neil sold me a Model T set which I bought for comparison - and to see if they were any different from the Model A hinges. Marked "Stanley" (the toolmaker/hardware maker) they were EXACTLY the same as the Model A hinges.

Which is where I thought the difference in the door "hang" might be. Some have reported Model T doors require "tweaking" to fit the Model A bodies.

Now I'm thinking the "tumble home" (nautical term) of the Model T cowl/doorpost/body is more extreme than the Model A. But if hinge side and latch side tumble home is the same - the doors work.

The same body was made by Budd starting in June 1928 and going all the way to June of 1930 - and may have hung on for a short time after that while AA truck stocks were "used up" - in Ford frugality.
