I have a 39 top loader case and tower and a 1940 trans ,would like to swap gears into 39 case,the 40 gears look good but no expert here,would like it gone through and checked out and assembled,,,anyone one have any one to recommend in the long island area ? thanks

I'd recommend charlie ny. Exceptional service and he's close enough?

Charlie Schwendler is good. We do them also. Charlie is certainly closer to you in NY. We are in Ohio.

Mac Van Pelts transmission repair book is very helpful to beginners as well as "old ford" guys like me! Well worth the few dollars cost for the book. Tom Byrd

Charlie did a great job on my '39 trans. Call him and he'll walk you through the procedure to get you parts to him via FEDEX....couldn't be easier and you'll never worry about your transmission again!!!
