1967 ford fairlane/steering box
Anyone have tips on changing out the steering box on A fairlane 66/67 it is the type with the long shaft not the rag joint type , looks like it is going to be A pain, thanks

Just did this on a 66 cyclone a couple weeks ago.
1 Remove steering wheel, spring and bushing from steering shaft, unplug wire harness. (no need to remove signal switch) 2 Unbolt and remove flange, seal at fire wall 3 Remove 2 nuts under dash holding column tube to brake pedal assembly. 4 remove center link from steering box, unbolt steering box from frame. This will give enough play to slide column tube off of the shaft. It helps to have a extra pair of hands, one inside and one outside, Don't think I forgot anything but these are the basic steps.
