Repurposing Wheels
I have 19" and 21" Model "A" wheels that are no longer serviceable, so I want to use them as the foundation for raffle items. There's a large regional meet on Long Island next year, so I want to make some unique raffle items using the wheels. I would like to see some pictures of things made from Model "A" wheels.

Re: Repurposing Wheels
I made a patio umbrella base with a half bag of concrete and a pipe. Others are used as culvert ends to keep larger critters out.

Re: Repurposing Wheels
I have recently started a mock up of a scaled down farm wagon. I am using 28/29 rims in rear 30/31 rims in front (I know about same diameter with tires). They are all junk rims but good enough to pull the Grandkids around property with the tractor. I have salvaged an old boat trailer for the frame, tongue and the slip springs. Have some messed up Model A front spindles and hubs so I can modify and fabricate the axles. It’s fun to find other purposes for parts that are no longer serviceable for a car. Sure others here will offer up some creative ideas.

Re: Repurposing Wheels
I used a AA wire wheel for my mailbox. I'll try to get some photos in the next couple days.

Re: Repurposing Wheels
I saw one hanging from a Cracker Barrel restaurant ceiling once... Knowing how heavy they are, it looked VERY dangerous.

You could have the fans blowing through the wheels. Of course it's hard to find a fan that will PO the wife more than a helo. Even a sticker making a bombing run on the fireplace could set them off. |

Re: Repurposing Wheels
Yeah, a chair would be a good use for it (along with some bumpers, axle, etc....):

Re: Repurposing Wheels
Many good ideas so far!
I don't have a picture at hand, but have seen a wall clock made from a wheel. Found that idea nice Perhaps someone has a picture? \Dk |
