Default carb float

'55 Ford 2bbl carb float is full of gas. Can't tell where the leak is. Is there anyplace where you can buy a new float for Holley 2100, 94 or flathead carb? Is there anyone who can repair an old one?

I think the guy is Canadian but we won't hold that against him...

Best to replace it. New ones are available. Problem with repairs is weight, the weight is critical. If it becomes a few grams heavier from excess solder then it'll ride lower in the fuel and that means it will take a greater amount of fuel to shut off the needle & seat.
I do a lot of carb work and have scales to weigh the floats on the older carbs.

I decided to order a new float from Dick and he also makes ethanol-safe carb gasket sets so I ordered one of those from him too. I will use those in my spare carb (Holley 2100) while I drive using the Ford EBU carb that has a Daytona parts rebuild kit in it.
Dicks prices are very reasonable too.
