Marvel Schebler Carburetor
Does anyone have the flow data for the jets in the Marvel Schebler Carburetor using the flow tester made for the Zenith Carburetors? Thank you, Ed

Re: Marvel Schebler Carburetor
There is no published flow data for the Ford released Marvel Schebler. I have not found it necessary to check the main nozzle, it has such a large hole that it is never tampered with like the small holes in a Zenith carburetor. The hole down the center should measure approximately .113". The main nozzle also has emulsion holes down the sides for atomizing the fuel so this also makes it difficult to flow test.
The Idle jet is not removable without damage typically so its kind of hard to flow test. The idle jet should have a .0225-.025" diameter hole, check with the smooth end of a drill, not the fluted end. If its in that size range it will be fine. There are no standards for flow ratings available, so even if we were able to flow these jets we have nothing to compare them to. Another issue would be how would we change the diameter if it as too big, kind of hard to solder up a hole that is 2" long with side holes entering along the way. |
